Have you ever thought of how you can send custom emails that suit the content of your forms after someone submits them? Well, Formaloo lets you customize the emails sent on each form separately.
The customized emails feature is another feature provided by Formaloo on its mission to provide you with the best possible tools to build data-driven apps and customize them to the next level with no code.
Formaloo lets you build email templates and use each template in a different form. You can even choose which email templates to be sent to the submitters and which to be sent to you and your team members.
1. Create email templates
To start, open your Formaloo dashboard, click on your profile icon, and go to the email templates page. When you open this page for the first time, you should enable the custom emails from the top toggle button.
2. Customize your email templates
Then you can create a new email template. Choose a name for it, select a subject, and change the body of your email as you wish.
You can add more customization by using the available custom variables in your forms. These variables can be used in the email body, email subject, and sender data (name and email).
While each of these can use static values, using the templates can help you create a better and more handy email for both the form admins and the users.
3. Use the email templates in forms
By editing each of your formaloos and going to the “Notifications” tab, you can select which email template to use for notifying the submitters. You can also choose which email template to use for notifying you and your team.
Pro tip: Use your own SMTP server
You can also use your custom SMTP server to send notification emails. To set it up, go to the email templates page and click on the SMTP settings button.
How to use your Gmail SMTP server to send emails
You can send emails from your website, web app, or domain using the free Google SMTP server. But more importantly, you can also use Gmail’s SMTP server to send emails from your Formaloo account.
